Couples Counseling
Whether your relationship feels stuck, weathering a crisis, or just needs a tune-up, seeking help can be daunting. Couples often delay addressing issues, allowing problems to worsen. No matter your situation or season, we're here with a compassionate, safe space to explore your challenges and offer a fresh perspective.
Our private counseling practice offers couples/marriage counseling services to support and strengthen relationships through a lens of understanding and respect for the diverse identities of each individual. Our licensed therapists provide a safe and inclusive space for couples to address conflicts, improve communication, and deepen their connection.
Couples/marriage counseling, also known as couples therapy, is a collaborative process that aims to help partners recognize and resolve conflicts, make thoughtful choices about their relationship, and achieve a deeper understanding of each other.
Our counselors do not take sides and work with couples to develop empathy, communication skills, and realistic expectations. We understand that every relationship is unique, and we tailor our counseling approach to meet the specific needs of each couple, including issues such as communication problems, sexual difficulties, conflicts about child-rearing, substance abuse, anger, and infidelity. We also offer premarital counseling to help couples address potential areas of conflict before marriage.
Family Counseling
We offer family counseling with a focus on family patterns and dynamics. Families come in all forms, some chosen, some not. Regardless of your family structure, many face challenges. Family therapy, like individual counseling, aims to enhance relationships and break old habits. It's a focused, short-term approach involving exploring patterns, conflicts, and communication.
Family counseling is a mode of counseling that is often sought due to life changes or stress negatively affecting family closeness, structure, or communication style. It can take a variety of forms, including seeing the entire family together for several sessions to address concerns around parenting, sibling conflict, loss of family members, new members entering the family, dealing with a major move, or a general change affecting the family system.
Our team of trained mental health clinicians is dedicated to providing support and guidance to families as they navigate through difficult times and work towards positive change.
Licensed Associate Counselors and Licensed Professional Counselors accept Aetna, BCBS, and Cigna. Some Licensed Professional Counselors and fully credentialed with United Healthcare.
