Specializing in family therapy, I work with individuals, couples, parents, and entire family groups, to understand and work through thought or behavioral patterns that interfere with life satisfaction.
I work from a Family Systems perspective, which allows Clients to see issues in light of multiple factors, which encourages change and growth on several levels. I utilize techniques from an array of psychological tools, tailoring treatment to be of most benefit to each individual or family unit. I have helped client’s successfully navigate through symptoms of depression, anxiety, family, marriage and parenting concerns, trauma, family of origin concerns, difficulties with aging, life purpose and satisfaction.
Counseling can feel like an overwhelming and intimidating process. My goal is to create a relaxed, warm atmosphere where we will explore concerns through a holistic lens, investigating the multiple influences that affect our behavior and decision-making. Structure is provided through the creation of goals, which provide accountability and a means to measure your progress. Wisdom and insight for change is available in a caring, non-judgmental atmosphere. There is often homework assigned which bridges the gap between our session and your lived experience. I honor your right and responsibility to make your own decisions, and will treat you with dignity and respect.
