Hi, my name is Heather Adams and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with adolescents, adults of all ages, and couples. We all come to difficult points in our lives where we need assistance and guidance; finding a counselor that fits your needs is a critical part of getting through those periods. Using an eclectic blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Reality Therapy, I believe in collaboratively working with clients to correct unhealthy behaviors and thoughts.
I have been working in the mental health field since 2011 and I truly enjoy how rewarding my work is. I moved to Arizona from the Midwest to attend Arizona State University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Following my undergraduate work, I took some time off from furthering my education to start a family. I then received my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
Each of us is unique in our own way and I believe the approach to counseling is the same. I have experience working with many different issues including anxiety, depression, relationship distress, substance abuse, phase of life changes, and mood disorders.
I am able to accept Aetna PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Cigna PPO, and United Health Care PPO insurances, and/or private pay clients. I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments.
Hi, I’m Janeé! I am a Licensed Associate Counselor, working under the supervision of Julia Spain.
I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients over the years, including children, adolescents, and adults. I’ve gotten experience as an elementary school counselor, which taught me the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for people to thrive in. I also worked as a therapist for adolescent boys in juvenile detention centers, where I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of therapy and the resilience of the human spirit.
I believe in the power of validation and support to help my clients on their journey, and I am passionate about helping them achieve their goals. My therapy style is mainly a mix between the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework, which focuses on identifying and changing negative patterns of thinking and behavior, and person centered. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative experience, and I would be honored to work with you. Let's start this journey together. I accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and private pay.
Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to read a little about me. My name is Marc Wilson. I am an Licensed Associate Counselor practicing under the supervision of Terri Roman, LPC. I have been a Board-Certified Music Therapist for 20 years working with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings.
Throughout my professional experience and studies, I have gravitated toward the theories that I will be learning throughout my internship. I operate through the lens of honesty and strive to help others explore their personal core values and beliefs. Because every individual is unique, it is important for a person to understand that values and beliefs are the foundation to address personal issues and build a happy and healthy self.
While I once aspired to be a rock star and change the world through music, my more realistic goal now is to help change people’s lives through honest, supportive, and empathic counseling.
I am able to accept Aetna PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Cigna PPO, and/or private pay clients. I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments.
Hi! My name is Tina Minchella, and I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) working under the clinical supervision of Terri Roman, LPC.
While there are common challenges encountered in life, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and stress, they often leave us feeling alone; but we are not meant to heal alone! By nurturing an empathetic, client-centered counseling relationship, I strive to create a space that honors the unique stories and lived experiences of each client, couple, and family while supporting clients as they build a toolkit that promotes balance, growth, and improved relationships with self and others.
I do this through an eclectic approach, drawing from Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed Care, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy approaches, which provides clients skills to integrate the past, live in the present, and create the future they are striving for.
I am able to accept Aetna PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Cigna PPO, and/or private pay clients. I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments. I am available for appointments at the Gilbert location on Wednesdays only.
Hi!
My name is Tyler – it’s nice to “meet” you! Whatever brings you here, welcome – I’m glad you’re here.
I was initially drawn to a role in mental health after experiencing the benefits of therapy in my own life. Now, as a licensed associate counselor, I love being able to empower others through my professional work every day. I consider the trust my clients place in me as one of the greatest honors of my life.
As a person-centered counselor inspired by the teachings of Carl Rogers, I adopt a “relationship first” approach to counseling, using modalities such DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy) to guide the treatment process.
Did you know the relationship you build with your mental health provider determines the overall effectiveness of treatment by as much as 30%? It’s true! The relationship you build with your counselor is so important! That’s why I adopt a person-centered approach to my practice, one that emphasizes unconditional positive regard above all else. Therapy is for everyone. Whatever your background or personal history, I have a seat open for you here.
Everyone is battling something, but nobody needs to go it alone. My role as your counselor is to act as a companion on the path – offering a friendly ear and an objective voice (mixed with a little timely humor along the way). Together, we’ll work to identify the obstacles that impede your personal growth and help you hone the skills you need to transcend those challenges as an individual. You are stronger than you think!
Working under the direct supervision of Terri Roman (LPC), I am eager to continue developing my counseling education in the pursuit of helping others learn practical skills they need to take more accountability for their lives, endure the human experience, and achieve positive change.
I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments.
