My name is Becca, and I am an intern here under the supervision of Julia Spain, LPC. I am about to finish my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at NAU, and love being a part of this field and working with all types of people. I believe we are all capable of growth and change, and I am passionate about working alongside others on their therapeutic journey towards personal growth.
I am committed to creating a safe, open, and honest environment to collaboratively work together. I strive to always be authentic, genuine, and empathic, and to partner with you to help you achieve your personal goals for counseling. Every individual is a unique being, and I consider all aspects of a person’s background and culture, thoughts and behaviors, relationships, and personal experiences to understand my clients holistically.
Accompanying you on your therapeutic journey is an honor, and I recognize the bravery, vulnerability and openness it takes to start and continue therapy. I am here to listen and provide support, while also valuing your individual needs, strengths, and resiliency. My therapeutic approach is grounded in facilitating empowerment, motivation, and hope. I want to equip you with skills and strategies for outside of our sessions to help you cope with your own unique challenges. I am looking forward to listening to you and working with you towards making the positive changes you want to accomplish with counseling.
