I graduated from Grand Canyon University with my Master’s in Professional Counseling in February 2016. I passed my AZ state boards in October 2016 and have joined the office of Julia Spain for my LAC experience. I enjoy all types of clients, but since my BA is in Education, I excel in family therapy and working with children and teens. I am currently providing marriage, family, individual adult, individual teen and individual child sessions. I am also working on some group therapy sessions. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist - Individual by Trauma Insitute International.
I love to help people and I have dreamt of this career my entire life. I received my Master’s degree a little later than usual however the trials adventures and experiences will add to my confidence in working with others going through varied transitions. I have significant volunteer experience over the years mainly by helping women in small groups and support systems.
We all gain counseling from our various life experiences, whether from our friends, family, co-workers. At times, however, working with a professional therapist can provide an outlook of acceptance and new insight; this can facilitate increased awareness, growth, and confidence.
On the personal side, I live in Gilbert and I love the family atmosphere. I have two amazing children who are eighteen and nine. My eighteen year old has autism which I have learned a lot about and believe that my knowledge can help others. I also a beautiful dog.
